Approximately 1,600 kilograms of wastes, mostly non-biodegradable, were collected during the clean-up activity in Brgy. Mt. Diwata and Brgy. Naboc in Monkayo, Compostela Valley.
The clean-up activity is one of the phases for the Naboc River rehabilitation. It was successfully done through the collective efforts of the Department of Environment and Natural Resource-XI through its Provincial and Community Environment and Natural Resources Offices (PENRO and CENROs in ComVal. The activity was also participated in by various stakeholders composed of Barangay Local Government Unit, Philippine National Police, Philippine Army and other volunteers from the province.
This is the second clean-up activity conducted since Naboc River Rehabilitation program kicked off in mid-March 2019.
