10 28 iNaturalistHave you ever captured or observed species or creatures and wanted to share it to others? Good news! Thereโ€™s actually a hub where you can snap and share them! Through ๐’Š๐‘ต๐’‚๐’•๐’–๐’“๐’‚๐’๐’Š๐’”๐’•- a social network for sharing biodiversity information to help each other learn about nature.

From the international scheme, itโ€™s now introduced to the Philippines. In fact, recently, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR-XI), Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF), University of Mindanao and UM Coleoptera Research Center (UMCRC) in partnership with National Geographic Society, conducted a training session on using the iNaturalist App to selected Bantay Bukid (Indigenous forest guards) in Davao City.

iNaturalistโ€™s primary goal is to connect people to nature and to generate scientifically valuable biodiversity data from personal encounters. The app helps in identifying plants and animals with visually similar suggestion and verification by dedicated contributors worldwide.

It can be downloaded through Google Play and App Store so be sure to get this app first before you hit your next nature-tripping destination.
