DENR XI launches four (4) Anti-Environmental Crimes Task Force Checkpoints

In compliance to the instructions of Assistant Secretary for Field Operations for Mindanao and Legislative Affairs Joan A. Lagunda, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-XI headed by Regional Executive Director Bagani Fidel A. Evasco together with Assistant Regional Executive Director for Technical Services Victor T. Billiones launched its four (4) Anti-Environmental Crimes Task Force Checkpoints on December 21 to 22, 2021. Through these checkpoints, DENR-XI will be able to monitor transported forest products, wildlife, mineral ores, sand and gravel, hazardous and toxic substances, among others. The four AECTF Checkpoints are strategically located along junctions that capture incoming routes from neighboring provinces and regions. They are located in Brgy. Puntalinao, Banaybanay, DavOr; Brgy. Carmen, Boston, DavOr; Brgy. Ngan, Compostela, DDO; and Km. 48, Brgy. Canocotan, Tagum City, DDN Also present during the separate launching programs are PENR Officers Rita Fe C. Gunn and Amelia Vera Cruz of Davao de Oro and Davao del Norte respectively, other Community Environment and Natural Resources Officers and officials from different LGUs.
